Hammers given price for Belotti

West Ham have been quoted a price of €70m (£63m) for stiker Andrea Belotti by Torino who are not keen on selling their star forward.

The striker had been recently touted in the press as an alternative should the Maxi Gomez deal not go through but club sources have been quick to deny that interest at his current valuation. It had been suggested that the Hammers had put in a bid of £35m earlier this week.

The 25-year-old striker scored 15 goals in 37 Serie A matches last season.

A senior club insider speaking to Claret and Hugh via Email on Sunday said: “They want 70m euros, we can’t afford that and we all think its too much!”
Torino had slapped an £88million buyout clause on Belotti’s head when they signed him from Palermo for just £5m back in 2015.
Belotti has not been able to hit the highs of his inform 2016/17 season where he scored 26 goals in 35 matches.

  1. Clearly way over priced.
We pay Husillos a lot of money to get the right players in, and if we don’t get Gómez (as seems likely), we have to rely on the fact that MP has a Plan B, C or D lined up. There must be a few decent young strikers out there who won’t cost the Earth and WANT to play for us. It would seem that Gómez doesn’t.

  2. All of our targets are more money than they are worth. I think Rondón is a better option than any of our others. £16.5m for a guy who scored 11 times last season should be a no brainer at this point. That would leave us enough money to upgrade in another position (like left back!)

    • Yea I like Rondon & think he could of hit close to 15 & create chances in a even more attacking system. WBA so defensive then Newcastle was great w lil more attack. We should of put £16m down right time Arnie put in request since MP wanted him anyway now looks like will lose to China. Hard to find a well rounded striker & he is that.
Wanted Haller before & still do underrated bc of Jovics number of goals & he is great but 5 came in 1 game & Haller set him up a lot he is also well rounded a beast in air record last season 7 duels won a game. But then two feet technical is #9 old school tgr man meets #10 new style fwd can just do it all & doesn’t waste chances 20 goals 12 assists in 40 & takes less then 2 shots a game but makes them count so Clinical creative physical £30-40m better then Belotti & Gomez IMO who will be an issue even if agents push him to come bc LA Liga want £45m paid up front they don’t do installments. Thats why always see players given the money to pay Real or Barca & we want Installments.

  3. Don’t do business with torino. They always play hardball. In the end they got nothing 😆

  4. What about one of the young Spanish strikers who just did so well in winning the championships.

  5. I think he is over valued at £63m, but one thing I like is that he has played several seasons in Serie A & has always appeared in over 30 games. Also his scoring rate is not bad. Average of a goal every 2.5 games over his career. In the last 4 seasons he has scored 63 from 139 games. Only 25 too. And with more clubs with big spending plans in the PL maybe that is the going rate. But out of our league if it is.
