The clubs are currently in advanced talks but have yet to find a resolution on a deal.
The total cost of a potential deal is thought to be more than £3.1m, taking into account the loan fee and Lingard’s wages.
At a reported £75,000 per week his wages would total around £1.65m until the end of June.
James Ducker writing for the Daily Telegraph claims the two clubs are haggling over a £500,000 fee
He says Manchester United are thought to be holding out for a loan fee of around £1.5 million, while West Ham is thought to be offering a fee around the £1m mark. A deal is not thought to be insurmountable and could be completed in the coming days.
It’s ok driving a hard bargain but the amount of bids that we have rejected you have to start to wonder…got the chance of the best season in so many years ..let’s hope they pull there finger out and bring in the players that are needed..
You sending Dawson or Benrahma back then?
Throw in a set of steak knives and get the deal done or get Snoddy back.
Son, Benrahma has been signed permanently.
Is Lingard really going to add anything? We don’t NEED him, he would be a luxury squad player. What we need is another goalscorer. I’d rather take a punt on Adam Armstrong.
Interesting move..a stalling tactic maybe? I wonder if Moyes is lining up something else in the background. It’s not like he’d tell us if he was…
People moaning about getting Lingard in are probably the same ones that were screaming about getting someone in to replace Snodgrass. It’s a short term replacement.
