Hammers have answer for suspended Emerson

|

Everton boss Sean Dyche is set to get a close-up look at a fancied Everton target Ben Johnson at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

With Emerson suspended for the match it seems Johnson is the nearest to full fitness for the Irons rather than Aaron Cresswell.

Both players have been injured over recent weeks but we have learned this evening that the acade y product is likely to get the call over 33 year old Cressie.

The Hammers veteran has been struggling with a hamstring injury and we have been told this evening that he is very unlikely to play despite having now fully recovered but obviously bneing nowhere match fit.

Thankfully, Johnson is set to be available and ready to fill in on the left hand side of the defence probably alongside Vladimir Coufal, Nayef Aguerd and captain Kurt Zouma.

Our sOurce said: “That’s certainly the way it looks at the moment.”
