Grady Diangana (right) enjoyed a brilliant first-team debut for West Ham when starring in the team’s 8-0 thumping win over Macclesfield.

It was their biggest win in 35 years since beating Bury 10-0.

The winger was brought in as one of several changes from the Hammers 0-0 draw against Chelsea on the weekend.

His pace and trickery caused problems from the off and he could have even had a goal to show for it in the first minute, when bursting through, but his chipped effort over the keeper trickled to the side of the post.

Diangana worked his socks off throughout the opening exchanges and his work-rate and determination resulted in the first goal. When the ball came out from a corner, the 20-year-old won back possession, the ball then fell to Declan Rice who stood up a cross for Antonio to head home.

His contribution didn’t stop at the first goal as Diangana’s ferocious effort was too hot to handle and Snodgrass netted from a yard out.

The winger conjured up the chance by beating one and unleashing with his left-foot, a sight that became familiar for West Ham fans in attendance.

Diangana’s superb evening was capped off with a goal on his debut and West Ham’s seventh of the game.

The number 45 played a neat one-two with fellow debutant Joe Powell and Diangana made no mistake on his weaker foot sliding the ball under the keeper.

He even had time to bag his second of the night in the 82nd minute, when receiving the ball and escaping the defenders, Diangana finished well on the angle.

Diangana’s evening was capped off by being rewarded the man of the match after a fine first-team debut.

Grady caught the eye with his goals. Both created by the impressive Joe Powell. We could have discovered two diamonds here. COYI.
