Hammers internationals return

|

West Ham United first team players who were involved in international games have returned to the Club’s Rush Green Training Ground.

They are back just eleven days after the first lads returned who are currently involved in Australia and preparing for the second game of the tour against Spurs tomorrow evening.

Today they underwent their first day screens and scans with the Club’s medical team.

Those retuirning today included Alphonse Areola, Czech pair Vladimír Coufal and Tomáš Souček, playmaker Saïd Benrahma, German defender Thilo Kehrer and Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd.

They underwent cardiac checks, concussion tests, and a general physiotherapy screening before getting down to work in the gym.

After lunch, the players took to the pitches at Rush Green for a first training session of the 2023/24 campaign; one that will once again see West Ham compete in European competition, after glory in the UEFA Europa Conference League final last month secured a seeded place in the UEFA Europa League group stages.

With first team manager David Moyes and his coaching staff Down Under, the returning internationals linked up with U21s lead coach Mark Robson, assistant coach Steve Potts and their crop of development players on the Rush Green training pitches.
