No Hammers interest in Barnes

West Ham have denied the club has any interest in buying Leicester City’s flying winger Harvey Barnes.

The media has been so full of the story for several weeks that you would have thought it was a given but we have had it confirmed exclusively by our top source that there are bigger priorities.

That seems to confirm that the first position we shall see filled will be at central defence as we revealed on the site yesterday (Sun) where four are being considered.

Hammers leave Barnes way clear for Newcastle

West Ham and Newcastle have been reported as going head to head for Barnes who scored 13 goals for Leicester’s relegated team last season.

But with Said Benrahma able to play on that sideĀ  there is no interest in the 25 year old, leaving the way clear for The Toon to move in on him.

Our source – speaking exclusively to Claret and Hugh – said:” There is no interest in Barnes – its not a position we desperately need at this time. We have bigger priorities.”

Good news, my friend a Leicester City supporter reckons Barnes not a worker and can hide in games hence relegation!

Sounds like Benrahma! But Barnes produced way more goals and assists, so would be a big upgrade as far as I’m concerned.
