Hammers look set for one change

|

Konstantinos Mavropanos looks the only likely change from the last Premier League game against Liverpool at the London Stadium tomorrow (Sat).

The Greece international has had a couple of superb games in the Europa Leabue and Carabao Cup and certainly looks worth an outing against Sheffield United.

Mavropanos-West Ham

Colossus Mavropanos. David Moyes could do worse than select the versatile Greek player .

It would be wrong to knock Nayef Aguerd too seriously as he has shown himself to be a fine defender at times.

However, he is definitely error prone and at this point of the season may be expected to find himself on the bench in favour of Mavro.

Elsewhere we can expect James Ward Prowse and Lucas Paqueta to return along with the other regulars although Ben Johnson may have given himself some sort of chance of making the squad after a very decent performance at Lincoln City

It’s hard to see Benny making a start after another wasteful final ball showing at the League One club although he did provide the corner for Soucek’s goal with the Czech looking very much like his old self.

Likely team: Areola, Coufal, Mavropanos, Zouma, Emerson, Alvarez, Soucek, Ward-Prowse, Paqueta, Bowen, Antonio.

We are playing at home to sheffield united. Keeper, back 4 will be same. Aguerd is class. WP and Paqueta will start alongside Alvarez. No need to put 2 holding players in so Soucek will be on the bench. Unless Moyes starts his negativity again. Bowen, Antonio and Kudus up top.

It’s the ‘regular’ starting XI…….. Aguerd plays
