Hammers midfielder rumour killed off

|

Yaya_Touré_2013-06-06_001Yaya Toure is set to receive a new offer from Manchester City which will give him another year at the club, effectively killing off any projected move to West Ham.

The possibility of a Hammers move – unlikely though it seemed – was raised last week in the media but never seemed a goer given that this is one area in which the Irons are well served.

However, news out of Manchester City today is that the 34 year old is now set to receive an offer from manager Pep Guardiola which is likely to take him close to retirement.

The Spanish boss has been impressed with Toure since he returned to the club having had problems with his agent over some public remarks earlier in the season.

Meanwhile, City are planning a farewell tribute to Pablo Zabaleta – now firmly believed to be on his way to the Hammers – at the final home game of the season against West Brom.

Thank god last thing we need is another lazy player picking up a cheque almost as fat as their waistline, next thing we will probably hear his diet pill popping brother is the Toure we really wanted and he will roll up (literally) during the summer transfer window 😉
