Hammers net spend increases to £46m

West Ham’s net spend including add-ons has reached £46.1m this summer or £35.7m without add-ons now that Ajeti has been officially confirmed and that excludes the millions paid in agent fees, 4% Premier League fees or  5% FIFA solidarity payments.

The break down in numbers:

Inbound: Pablo Fornals £24m plus £1m of add-ons, Sebastien Haller £40.5m plus £4.5m of addons, Goncalo Cardoso £2.75m with £1.8m of add-ons and Albian Ajeti £8m plus £3m of add-ons

Total without add-ons: £75.25m     Total with add-ons: £85.55m

Outbound: Marko Arnautovic £22.5m Edimilson Fernandes £6.75m Lucas Perez £2.1m Sam Byram £750,000 Pedro Obiang for £6.25m plus £900,000 in add-ons, Marcus Browne £200,000 Reece Oxford £0 (£2.1m fee went to player and agent in bonuses)

Total: £38.55m without add-ons Total with add-ons £39.45m

From an initial estimated summer transfer budget of £30m the owners have pushed the boat out again to go that extra mile to increase net spend this summer.  Despite making losses of £27m last season they have invested in the squad to compete in the Premier League.

    I wouldn’t under estimate how much the wage bill has dropped and also Fornals and Ajeti fees I believe are spread over contract periods.
    Wage bill is down circ £30m and also I read today to expect Chicarito to go on loan in the next couple of weeks, apparently will be pleased to get him off wage bill. £130k a week could save another £6m a year. He goes for free in 12 months ( 6months if pre contract) so would make sense.
    Anyway lets see…
    Only thing that really concerns me is the two full backs, thought that was the most important thing to sort after last season and nothing really changed.
