Hammers pleased that peace reigned

|

Hammers fans have praised the club, police and local football authorities for a peaceful experience in Greece last Thursday evening.

That may of course been due to Olympiacos winning the game but it was a long way from the trouble  many had feared. West Ham fans suffered a few laser pointers being aimed at them but in reality that was about it.

Despite the visiting media suffering some abuse ahead of the game  some abuse there was next top no trouble on the day.

West Ham were greeted with a huge banner declaring: “Tonight You Dine In Hell” before their Europa League clash with Olympiacos.

And per NowNews West Ham – Six Foot Two (6foot2.co.uk) he infamous Gate 7 end started booing and whistling the police when they entered the arena – and then the Wets Ham players during their pre-match pitch walk 90 minutes before kickoff. The atmosphere was hyped up with heavy metal music, including Highway to Hell.

But for all that peace reigned for the 90 minutes and that no further bans are threatened ahead of future games!
