West Ham United are reviving their interest in winger Wilfried Zaha, with the Ivorian reportedly eager to return to England after a year with Galatasaray. The 31-year-old could be one of the early signings for incoming manager Julen Lopetegui, in an attempt to bolster their attacking options on the left flank.

According to KUMB, West Ham officials recently met with Zaha’s representatives in London. Notably, these representatives reportedly held no discussions with other clubs during their visit, suggesting a potentially serious bid from the Hammers.

However, a stumbling block could be Zaha’s contract. He’s tied to Galatasaray until the 2026/27 season and reportedly earns a hefty salary of €4.5 million (around £3.9 million) annually.

Despite the financial hurdle, Zaha remains a force to be reckoned with. He has bagged 10 goals in 36 appearances for Galatasaray this season, showcasing his talents even in European competitions like the Champions League and Europa League.

West Ham fans will be watching this situation closely. Zaha’s potential return to the Premier League, particularly with a team like West Ham, could be a significant boost to their attacking firepower.

But the question has to be asked, Is he still value for money? Also, he appears to be a prickly character, and Lopertegui will have his work cut out to keep him happy.
