Hammers seek to break winless streak

Seeking to break their Premier League winless streak and banish the disappointment of their FA Cup exit, West Ham United will host Bournemouth at the London Stadium tonight.

Hammers seek to break winless streak

The Hammers, plagued by recent struggles, have not tasted victory since December 28, their hopes of cup glory also extinguished by Championship side Bristol City.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth, also in need of a revival, find themselves languishing in the bottom half of the table following two consecutive Premier League defeats. Their confidence was further dampened by a humbling 4-0 loss to Liverpool at Vitality Stadium on January 21.

Despite their recent woes, West Ham can take heart from their impressive home form. They have maintained an unbroken streak of nine matches without defeat at the London Stadium, and their defensive resilience has been evident in their last three Premier League home fixtures, all of which ended in shutouts.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, possess an attacking prowess that could pose a significant threat to West Ham’s backline.

However, the Hammers’ home advantage and resolute defence,. will hopefully,  provide them with a solid foundation.

With Jarrod Bowen returning to full fitness, along with Edson Alvarez and Kudus Mohammed eager to make amends for his AFCON disappointments, West Ham have the firepower to outscore their opponents and pick up the three points on offer.
