Hammers set for two high profile friendlies

West Ham are to announce two more pre-season friendlies, with a Hammers XI facing Nice on 29th July in France and an away friendly against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Saturday 5th August in Germany with a 12.30 lunchtime kick-off at the Bay Arena stadium.

West Ham are in advanced talks with former Bayer Leverkusen chief Tim Steidten whose appointment should be confirmed soon, and this may have been a factor for the Leverkusen friendly.

The Hammers take on Boreham Wood at LV Bet Stadium Meadow Park on Monday, 10 July, with a 7 pm kick-off before the trip down under.

The Hammers will face Perth Glory and Tottenham Hotspur on 15 and 18 July, respectively in Australia in a pre-season tour.

On their return, West Ham will travel to Vanarama National League side Dagenham & Redbridge for a pre-season friendly on Saturday, 22 July, at 3 pm BST.

They the squad is off the France, where David Moyes will likely split his squad with half playing Stade Rennais FC on 29th July at Roazhon Park with a 6 pm kick-off and the other half playing Nice at the Allianz Riviera.

There is also a suggestion that a West Ham XI will face Canvey Island away at Park Lane on Tuesday, 8th August, with a 7.30 pm kick-off.
