Hammers set to jet to Liverpool

David Moyes and his first team squad will travel by private jet to Liverpool later today after finishing squad training at Rush Green.

The manager gave this virtual pre-match press conference at 9am this morning with training due to commence at 10.30am. The gaffer has confirmed Michail Antonio will be missing from the match day squad but there was no other injury news which could mean the addition Said Benrhama for the first time.

After training finishes the squad will be heading to the airport for the short flight to Liverpool’s John Lennon’s airport later today before travelling to their hotel in Merseyside which is locked down in a tier 3 area.

West Ham are due to play Premier League Champions Liverpool at Anfield at 5.30 pm on Saturday.

Premier League Protocols are in place to protect West Ham staff and players while in Merseyside.

The latest weekly infection rates in Liverpool is 410.4 per 100,000 population and the latest positivity testing rate is 15.6% while the London Borough of Newham which includes Stratford and the London Stadium is currently at 155.7 per 100,000 local population while the London Borough of Havering where Rush Green training ground is based is 154.5 per 100,000 of local population.
