Hammers signing to dominate new season

|

It is becoming clearer and clearer that one new signing will dominate all that is happening at the London Stadium this season – Tim Steidten

As Gonzo pointed out earlier David Moyes begins to look more and more isolated with the departure of the second member of his backroom team and it would be no big surprise were there to be more.

We all can and do speculate on the reasons for these departures but a common issue seems to arise most times – the style of play under the Scot.

When addressing the subject my mind wanders back to the match against Nottingham Forest when the Irons went bang onto the front foot and scored four at a time when Declan and the boys had been strongly rumoured as deciding to ignore the normal game plan at a meeting beforehand!

How true that is remains a matter of conjecture but it can’t be denied that we saw a totally different approach and it would have been surprising if it had come from nowhere.

And it seems to me that the new sporting director hasn’t been brought in because that feels like a good idea. He is here to change things and sort out new arrivals of which he may have much experience.

In the meantime it can’t be long before those of them appear quickly given the season proper starts at Bournemough in eight weeks or so.

My bet is that Steidten is now the man in control with a key CandH source admitting we will have to wait and see who has the last word on arrivals.

That sounds like a tip in itself it is not the manager which after all is usually the case.
