West Ham fall behind in Barnes race

|

Newcastle are now being reported as leading the race to sign relegated Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes although the Hammers are still strongly linked to the player.

Newcastle are interested in Harvey BarnesTwenty five year old Barnes is set for an immediate return to the Premier League with the Toon, Aston Villa and Spurs keen apart from ourselves.

But various reports suggest Newcastle boss Eddie Howe’s side are currently ahead in the battle to sign him and his arrival could spell the end for fans’ favourite Allan Saint-Maximin who could be on his way to Saudi Arabia.

The Foxes supposedly want £50million for Barnes but it is thought they could accept a lower fee as we reported earlier for a player who found the net 13 times last season.

Spurs are also in the race for the winger but are expected  instead go for Manor Soloman  from Shakhtar Donetsk, who spent last season on loan at Fulham.
