Hammers keen on £25 million midfielder

Alex Scott has alerted Premier League scouts

West Ham are still looking keenly at Bristol City youngster Alex Scott with the Championship club looking for £25 million.

Scott is one of the most highly-rated young talents in the country and is expected to earn a Premier League move this summer.

He was the Championship’s Young Player of the Season  and has just returned from representing England at the Under-20 World Cup.

It is understood that West Ham have held initial talks with the player’s representatives and are now deciding whether to make a move.

Manchester City’s treble-winning boss Pep Guardiola is also incredibly impressed with the teenager and after a  Carabao Cup meeting earlier this season described the midfielder him as an “unbelievable talent”.

“I believe Alex will play for England one day,” Pearson said. “I thought that when I first saw him in a training session and nothing since has changed my mind. He is a level headed lad and will play for a top club one day and it’s just a question of when.”

David Moyes has a good record with Championship players and this lad sounds like business!
