Hammers suffer double injury blow

|

By Hughie Southon

West Ham’s injury problems go on and on with Lucas Paqueta and Nayef Aguerd being hit this afternoon in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

The injury to Paqueta may be the more worrying of the two after he fell on his shoulder with only 10 minutes on the clock.

And bearing in mind that he missed early games this season after being kept out for several weeks with a collarbone injury before the World Cup break, the new problem could be a particular worry.

The 26 year old tried valiantly to return but the extent of the injury proved ensured sadly thatĀ  the Brazilian could not play on.

And that was followed by yet another problem when Aguerd was forced off late in the second half with what looked to be either a hamstring or groin injury.

He too missed the early part of the season and then further games following the World CupĀ  after being hit with another when involved for Morocco.
