West Ham have opened dicussions with Martin Samuelsen over the possibility of a new contract.
The Norwegian is represented by his father Frode and although the Hammers are keen to get something nailed down they claim there’s “no rush.”
ClaretandHugh revealed several weeks ago that a new deal was on the cards, and that has been heavily underlined via an interview on the website VG Sporten.
Although there was no clear detail from Matin or Frode, a top insider at the club confirmed to ClaretandHugh that they want to sort out a deal.
We were told: “We are in discussions although there is no rush as Martin has two years left and we have an option on top of that.”
Dad Samuelsen said: “Pre-season will determine how he ends up in the coming months. So it’s hard to say anything more about it now. The goal is of course to play Premier League.”
But Martin is quoted as saying: “The club loves me, I love the team.”
Get him tied to a 5 year contract now he is going to be worth £30 million in the next 2 years
I hope we bring him in to the first team this year not put him out on loan,
After Emineke and Moses he can’t do worse and at least he would have our club at heart,
