West Ham target Lille’s Idrissa Gueye is believed to be on his way to Aston Villa according to morning reports.
It is understood he is close to clinching a £9 million move which will disappoint both the Irons and Palace who have been hunting the player.
The 25-year-old Senegalese is expected to fly in tomorrow for talks and a medical.
If he completes a move to Villa Park, Gueye would will follow Micah Richards – often linked with the Irons – into the midlands club.

to be honest we wont miss Nolan too much, the team were stronger without him last season. Lets all be upbeat, the players that have come in so far are top draw.

We are well covered in his position now, especially if we get Song on board.
I’m more interested in the CB and striker positions, get a couple of good ones in and we are set.
I quality cb & one quality forward is all i want.If another winger/attacking midfielder comes in all the better but not essential.RB will be sorted one way or another.Really want another top quality forward.I will be seriously ****ed off if they think we can rely on only Sakho & Carroll.Im sure we will buy another good striker though 😉

I was hoping we’d go for Hernandez but he’s done his collar bone in now, probably still pass his medical with us though 🙂
We couldn’t find the goal with compass & a map last season. Need more strikers & defo strengthen the back line. One that can defend for the whole 90 minutes. 😀

There are plenty of good players out there that will fill our needs,
I think most of the named targets are smokescreen stop hide the real targets,
We are only going to buy 3 or 4 more player and then look for a couple of freebies,
Taking Song and Jenkinson are 2 deals that look nearly done that does not leave many more to come in
I think the difference will be it won’t be our intention to defend for 90 mins unlike the previous tactic
Agree there bubs, so many players are linked to us. Any player that there might be a slight chance of moving anywhere, West Ham get linked because we are looking to strengthen the squad. Most players have half the premier league linked.
We would have had a strong midfield with all these players the media have linked with us.If a player wants to move to Villa he clearly has little ambition in the game,just chasing the dough 😉
Dont need him anyway.If he want to go to Villa good luck to him.He can be the only Gueye in the village up there 😀
