Hammers to face Bees

|

West Ham will travel to Premier League new boys Brentford for a pre-season match on Saturday 31st July, with kick-off at 3pm.

Brentford won promotion to the top flight last term, defeating Swansea City in the Championship Play-Off final after finishing third in the table for a second season in succession.

The 2021/22 season will be Brentford’s first in the top division for 74 years and marks the culmination of a decade of rapid progress from League One to the Premier League.

The Hammers’ trip to the Brentford Community Stadium will also mark the official opening of the west Londoners’ new home, after spending most of their debut campaign in the 17,250-capacity stadium without supporters present.   Subject to COVID-19 regulations, West Ham are due to receive an allocation of 500 tickets for this fixture, priced at £10 adults and £5 concessions. Full sales details will follow in due course on WHUFC.com

Moyes’ men have four friendly matches in July prior to heading to Brentford. First up is a double-header on Tuesday 13 July, when a split-squad will take on EFL League Two sides Leyton Orient and Northampton Town.  A trip to Championship outfit Reading follows on Wednesday 21 July, before West Ham travel back to Scotland to take on Celtic on Saturday 24 July.
