Hammers want around £12m for defender

West Ham may raise funds for a striker from the sale of Thilo Kehrer this winter or next summer. The German has fallen way down the pecking order at the club and hasn’t been seen in a Premier League game since the Manchester City defeat in September and having left Paris St Germain for regular first team football he may be ready to seek a transfer anyway. He needed a move to help his World Cup chances but things haven’t worked out to well for the 27 year old. He has a contract at the  London Stadium until 2026 with a two year option attached meaning the club could demand a decent fee for the central defender. However, he is currently very much a fringe player despite his £10 million fee. The Hammers would want around £12 million for the defender.

Since August Kehrer has featured in three Europa League games and Carabao Cup matches against Lincoln City and Arsenal, having been relegated behind Konstantinos Mavropanos in the defensive pecking order. Should the Hammers decide to entertain bids he will join the likes of Pablo Fornals, Ben Johnson, Aaron Cresswell, Conor Coventry and Maxwell Cornet who are among those the Hammers are ready to allow move as things stand right now.
