West Ham United, it seems, are struggling within the last few days of the summer window to find a solution to what is their last major ‘want-away’ problem.
For the suggestions made in the last 24 hours that Unai Emery is planning to sign Jean Clair Todibo does not appear to have been well received by Aston Villa fans, who are coming to terms with the sale of their own top-tier centre back Ezra Konsa to for Arsenal for the princely sum of £55 million.
Time to go: For both player and club, an exit for Todibo will come as a blessed relief.
As reported by yahoo.sports, the prospect of the controversial Todibo moving north to begin again in Villa’s colours to fill Konsa’s boots has sent many Aston Villa fans to social media to voice their – erm – ‘upset’ over their manager’s plans:

The disparaging fan comments on social media would seem to suggest that Villa fans have done their homework well on West Ham’s troubled centre back. In response to suggestions that Villa were planning a swoop for Todibo, fans responded:
“Shocking business”
“The levels of embarrassment, are growing”
“Ye we have lost our minds”
“What? Are we building a team to challenge in the championship next year?”
After falling out with managers everywhere he goes, Todibo’s chickens appear to be coming home to roost and it doesn’t look like Aston Villa fans will have a very different attitude to their east London counterparts who cannot wait to be rid of the troublesome yet talented player.
For West Ham, though, the hope is that Unai Emery repeats the same mistake as just about every other Manager, backing himself to get a tune out of a player who has kicked off everywhere he’s played from Barcelona to Nice.
