Hammers watch Bees bid

West Ham  are watching carefully as Brentford try to agree on a fee with French club Strasbourg for striker Habib Diallo.

The Bees want him as a replacement for Ivan Toney who has been named for a year following betting offences in the game.

Diallo, 27, may be available for £15million after a strong season but has also been watched by Burnley and West Ham.

Diallo is claimed to be similar to Toney and has a big goal return having scored 20 in 37 appearances for the Ligue 1 club along with contributing one assist.

Diallo’s goals accounted for more than a third of the entire club’s record (51) in the division where the club managed to finish in 16rh position.

Such has been Brentford’s success since arriving in the Premier League that it really isn’t such a bad idea to be following the players they are keen on.

West Ham want a forward this summer as the Europa Conference League champions as they could easily be losing  could be losing one of Scamacca or Antonio.
