Hilarious Rodgers picture says it all

|

BlackeyImagine being a Liverpool fan this morning…no better still imagine being Brendan Rodgers.

The locals would have strolled into Anfield yesterday believing it was a case of just turning up to win and after such a great start to their season why wouldn’t they.

Their confidence would only have been matched by the air of pending doom hanging over the 2,500  Irons fans who made the long trek north nursing the knowledge that we hadn’t won in this place for over half a century.

Try as they and the manager might, you have to believe that you have a better than 80 per cent chance of continuing such a record but from the third minute when Manuel Lanzini slid home the close range first goal there was only going to be one team winning this game.

We can’t imagine what went on in the Liverpool boardroom afterwards but this hilarious image which has emerged on Twitter represents a hilarious spoof on what – unlikely though it may be – might have been!

Great result ! i was 9 years old last time we won at Anfield . But i keep reading reports about how desperate we are for strikers yet we are second top scorers in the PL with 9 goals in 4 games ? It’s the 6 goals conceded that seems more of a problem , although on yesterdays showing that was hopefully a blip maybe put down to the squad still gelling together under the new boss . I personally can’t see too many problems ahead this season and see us doing pretty well . COYI
