Holjund bidding war averted

We may have avoided a bullet and a bidding war as  the Atalanta forward Rasmus Holjund is probably going to join Manchester United for an eyewatering £50 million.

The Mancs “will do anything to get him” according to reports.

I can see why our Supremo is keen on him as he is extremely talented young player.

The 20 year old netted 10 goals and had four assists in 34 games for Atalanta last season (Transfermarkt) after joining the Italian outfit from Sturm Graz in the summer of 2022.

I am sure he is destined for the top, but £50 million is a ridiculous amount of money to shell out on a young player with no experience of the hurly burly of playing in the Premier League.

I think we should sit this one out
