Hopes are now high that Diafra Sakho will make his long awaited squad return for the match against Spurs at White Hart Lane next weekend.

The news has come direct from Stijn Vandenbroeuck, Head of Medical and Sports Science in his latest update on the club’s walking wounded.

He said: “Diafra Sakho has been training with the first-team squad for the past two weeks, and we hope he will be available for selection against Tottenham or the week after ( the clash with Manchester United in the Premier League at Old Trafford).

However, Vandenbroeuck is still refusing to put a precise date on Andy Carroll’s comeback date saying: “Andy Carroll is progressing well with his rehab.”

He added that Gokhan Tore is closer to returning to train with the squad, while Sam Byram is working very well following his hamstring injury and has started running on the pitch this week with our head physiotherapist Dom Rogan.”

He added that Reece Oxford suffered a high ankle sprain in training before the Everton game and is currently using crutches as he is in the non-weight bearing phase of his rehab.

Bambi will return in December score 1 or 2 goals,we will then decide to keep him as our other forwards are hitting blanks
Then in February he will get a cold and miss the rest of the season
    When will we learn
When we sell Sak for £5 mil,we will regret it,

Irons why don’t they just off load Carroll in January and give Sak a pay rise? I hope Carroll is out of rehab by then?
