How we rated the Irons v Liverpool

|

RandolphRandolph: Man of the Match – five fine saves kept Irons in the competition 8

Tomkins: Left the action with a head injury but solid until coming off after clash of heads with Allen 5

Reid: No nonsense defending from the central defender

Ogbonna: Did nothing wrong and solid as ever when called upon 6

Cresswell: Usual adventurous running and decent when forced to defend 7

Kouyate: Was driving the match until forced off after 32 minutes. Shame 6

Song: Off colour, surrendered too much space. Still big questions marks 5

Obiang: Drove forward whenever possible – tried to be positive

Moses: Another frustrating and inconsistent performance after decent start 5

Payet: Not at his best and therefore we weren’t. Ok I’m about to be hammered! 5

Valencia: No not on his game at all – very frustrating 5

Subs: O’Brien: Surprisingly effective – did well. Maybe had an unfair press 6

Jelavic: Worked hard – supplied a penalty area header which should have been buried 6

Antonio: We looked far more effective when he arrived for Moses 7

Still can’t figure out why Moses is still getting a starting nod ahead of Antonio. He should be on the bench but not a starter

Possibly because he’s getting back to fitness and needs the minutes while Antonio has run his nuts off lately?

    Song 5?

Made more interceptions and passes that anyone out there.

Embarrassing display from the West Ham of old. Liverpool made 10 changes and not only couldn’t we beat them but we were very lucky to come away with a draw
