Marcus Browne’s astonishing feats at Division One Oxford are bringing a host of inquiries about a possible change of loan club in the winter window.

Marcus has made 13 appearances for the Kassam Stadium based club scoring seven goals along the way since his arrival and taking the place by storm.

He has long been seen as yet another of the outstanding crop of youngsters emerging from the West Ham academy under director Terry Westley and according to some reports is a possible target for former Hammer Frank Lampard now managing at Derby County.

Many of young Browne’s team mates have been describing him as entirely different class and it comes as no surprise that he is on the wanted list of various Championship clubs.

Our sources have revealed that a number have already expressed an interest but that at this stage no decision has been made as to whether he should remain where he is at Oxford or move on.

The attacking midfielder is contracted to the Hammers until June 6, 2020 with the usual options!

Of all the clubs would like to see him go to Leeds to be coached by Bielsa would be an amazing experience and possibly set him up for next season in the first team.

  • Mr Buddy Lurve says:

I think it has to be his decision. If he’s settled and enjoying it, then moving to a new club may not help him. Wherever he goes, he needs to be playing, and not bench warming like so many of the lads out in Europe.

I partly agree with “Mr Buddy”.

But i also think if he does go on loan to a decent championship club for the rest of the season , and forces his way into the team.

He will be ready to start pre-season with first team and could become another snograss surprise.
