Storm Eunice hammers the Geordies plans

|

Newcastle have been dealt a huge blow ahead of their clash with the Hammers this weekend.

Storm Eunice wreaked havoc across the country, causing multiple train delays, felling trees, and even shredding the O2 arena, due to the ridiculously high winds.

Newcastle were planning to fly to London for the clash with the Hammers on Saturday in the early kick-off, but have instead been forced to make the trip by coach, per The Sun.

It means that the Magpies faced as many as seven hours on the road on Friday, in what is unlikely to be ideal preparation for tomorrow’s game.

Newcastle have been in good form and have won all of their last three games but the Hammers will hope to take all three points and make a real dent in their survival hopes, while boosting their own chances of a top-four finish.

Elsewhere, Spurs have had to travel to Manchester by bus for their game against City, while Burnley have had to do similar ahead of their game against Brighton.
