Patrick Kelly opened the scoring on 29 minutes when he won the ball the ball high up the field, before it  around Forest goalkeeper Will Brook. The second came two minutes later when Callum Marshall saw his block deflect over Brook and into the net.

Forest hit the post through Jack Perkins in the second half before he was denied by Jacob Knightbridge to keep  the Hammers’ two-goal lead intact.

Marshall added his second of the match – and West Ham’s third – with a  dipping strike from the edge of the area which found the bottom corner. Forest managed a meaningless late consolation

Steve Potts’ men stay in second place in Premier League 2 after nine matches played. They have lost just one game this season.
