Charlie Austin IS NOT a transfer target for the Hammers – with an inflated transfer fee ruling the England hitman out of Slaven Bilic’s plans!
The club’s website has today set the record straight about the QPR hitman, and the west Londoners’ £15 million price-tag for Austin means the Hammers have turned their focus to securing a player from abroad to fill the striker vacancy created by injuries to key players..
The news was officially revealed today on the ITK section of WHUFC.com.
Talking about the club’s desire to find a new centre forward, the club’s official ‘insider’ section of its website revealed: “No less than four bids have been lodged for forwards over the past 48 hours and, crucially, these are all for players currently based overseas.
“Some of the names have been in the press but others have not, and they have been deliberately kept under the radar to avoid alerting rivals. The Club feel that the overseas market currently offers much better value for money than the UK, which is why the focus has switched to the continent.
“There is hope one of those approaches will bear fruit this week and if that proves successful the Club will then turn its attention to recruiting a new midfielder, the other position that is still deemed to need strengthening.”

l think that the only crime that Canchaz is guilty of is the failure to start his comments with the phrase, “in my opinion…..” thereby stating his opinion of Bilic’s thinking as fact. But when all is said and done, everything that everybody else writes here is only their opinion whether they say so or not, so its a minor crime in my book. Not worth getting heated up about. Thats my honest opinion.

Yes everyone has an opinion and can voice it but it’s normally the way it’s put that makes people react,
But back to the article we have put 4 bids in probably for less than £5 million for strikers,
Why not name them so people are not guessing and as most of the good ones a broad have gone it would be interesting,

Haha,dont worry about it Can,lol,but bubs said 4 bids probably under £5m.It was a bubs guestimation which are usually shocking until he has a few St.Miguels,then he gets better with his predictions,lol.To be fair though i have never seen or heared Slaven say he WANTS a freebie or cheapie.It is probably just what he will get because we have no brass 😉
