International Hammers is a real problem

West Ham make absolutely no secret of the fact that they would probably sooner have no international players in their squad! I agree.  It’s surely an understandable position with the Hammers and every club  becoming the victims of crowded football calendars the like of which we have never seen before. More and more managers are up in arms and the injuries they are carrying as a result of a ludicrous situation within the game. So far the Hammers have been lucky in that respect but you have to believe it can only be a matter of time before things turn the other way. We need less interational competitions and could probably live quite comfortably without then Carabao Cup come to that. The Leagues will forever come first.

International Hammers is a real problem

International football having created three breaks before the Premier League is even a THIRD of the away threw is a nightmare in itself. I have yet to meet a single supporter is happy to see the League regularly interrupted so we can watch England play the likes of Macedonia and Malta and you have to say that international caps mean nothing like they did in the old days when there were far less games at national level.

Once upon a time long ago when there was only the briefest of football on TV our imaginations were fired when we played against overseas teams. Those days are long gone because many of the players we now see are in with PL clubs anyway and there is no curiosity about the team anyway as so much is known. But with more and more of it crowding into the League programme and even Southgate saying England’s poor performances are down to tiredness from the campaigns they are involved in the dog’s mouth has spoken.

I hope I’m not alone when I say there is simply too much football now. West Ham is quite enough for me and actually I do like to watch a decent movie on the box now and again. Internationals? Excuse me for one moment but the word jacksie passed through my mind!
