Bermuda-born goalkeeper Nathan Trott joined Valencia’s academy in Spain as a midfielder, after being spotted at a satellite academy ran by Valencia at Saltus Grammar School. Trott transitioned to a goalkeeper on international duty with Bermuda under-15’s after an injury to Ajai Daniels. Upon his return to Bermuda, Trott joined North Village Rams. Trott joined West Ham following a successful trial period in January 2016, having initially been recommended to the Club by former Hammer and fellow countryman Clyde Best.
The young goalkeeper switched international allegiance to England in early 2017 and was part of the Young Lions squad that won the UEFA European U19 Championship in June of the same year.
In the 2017/18 season, he started five of West Ham’s opening six Premier League 2 Division 1 fixtures, conceding just seven goals and keeping a clean sheet against reigning champions Everton.
He signed a new four-year contract with the Hammers in March 2019 and moved on loan to AFC Wimbledon in June 2019. He made his debut for the Dons on 17 August in a 1–1 home draw with Accrington Stanley.
On 23rd January 2021, Trott made his senior debut, as a substitute, for West Ham in a 4–0 FA Cup win against Doncaster Rovers.
