Iron faces late decision on Burnley inclusion

|

Lukasz Fabianski’s fitness for the Burnley match will be assessed ahead of the match against Burnley on Saturday.

However the decision to use comments from Darren Randolph in the Matchday programme may be an indication of the Polish international stopper’s chances of making the game.

It would seem an unusual choice of player to use were he not to have a very good chance of playing  in the game.

However, Moyes insists the No 1 ha a chance he has a chance of making the game and a decision will be takme nearer kick off time.

Fab was a late withdrawal  from the New Year’s Day victory over Everton, and sat out last weekend’s FA Cup trip to Stockport County, with Darren Randolph deputising to keep two clean sheets

Fabiański is hoping to be fit enough to return against the Clarets on Saturday, and Moyes will make a call closer to the game.

The manager told reporters at his presser: “We’ve been okay with injuries recently and have only had Łukasz Fabiański and Arthur Masuaku missing.

“Fabián Balbuena has had to isolate too because he came into contact with somebody [who tested positive for COVID-19].

“We’re waiting on Łukasz to see how he is because we’re not sure yet, and as we know Arthur is probably a couple of months away from being involved again.”
