Loan deal for PSG’s Bahebeck remains ‘a long shot’

|

JeanWest Ham have cooled reports that they are closing in on Paris St Germain striker Jean Christophe Bahebeck.

The Irons have been linked with the 22-year-old for several days – with reports claiming tonight that a loan deal is imminent.

The striker has had little chance to impress at the French club, where he can’t push his way past the likes of Edinson Cavana and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

He has been with PSG for four years and managed just two goals in 34 games for the French champions. He’s also bagged five goals during two loan spells.

The Hammers were quick to cool the reports with one highly placed source saying: “The agent is pushing the club to do a loan, but he hasn’t really done enough. He’s one of a few we are looking at but it’s not progressed to the stage that’s being reported.”
