Irons could strike Hammer blow for another boss

|

West Ham could put the final nail in the coffin of Anderlecht boss Felice Mazzu this week.

A new report in Belgium makes it clear that Anderlecht have been struggling immensely thus far this season and are currently sitting 10th in the Belgian Pro League.

They have picked up 13 points from a possible 30 and lost to Charleroi at the weekend, going down 1-0 to their Belgian rivals.

Anderlecht have taken four points from their first two Europa Conference League games ahead of the clash with the Hammers, and Voetbal Nieuws reports that two bad results against the Irons could see him sacked.

The Hammers go to Belgium on Thursday and will then face Fulham this weekend, before welcoming Anderlecht to the London Stadium next week.

The Premier League side are said to essentially have Mazzu’s fate in their hands, and two wins for David Moyes’ side could well see Mazzu axed.

Of course, the same thing happened at the weekend, when West Ham beat Wolves 1-0 and saw Bruno Lage sacked immediately after.
