Irons heading for new Forest transfer challenge

|

West Ham are planning to hijack any bid from Nottingham Forest for Watford’s Emmanuel Dennis.

The Hammers have been linked with the player for most of this summer but after stealing Jesse Lingard from under our noses, manager Steve Cooper is looking to make a swoop for last season’s 10 goal front man.

However, after splashing much of his his cash on the free agent from Manchester, the Forest boss will be likely to miss out on the  24 year old Hornet.

According to TalkSPORT, the Hammers are now ramping up their recruitment drive after David  Moyes admitted this week that he has bids in and is looking to get them over the line in a hurry.

Forest have been regularly linked with Dennis but it would be something of a nightmare for the Hammers were the newly promoted outfit to beat them to a second target at a fee of around £25 million.

Dennis moved to Watford last summer from Club Brugge. He enjoyed a solid maiden campaign in the Premier League and is very much a wanted man by the Hammers.

Wouldn’t be a bad bit of business, £25m may be a bit steep but I think he would be a really useful player for us.

Fancied him for us for a while now, as well as or instead of Broja now.
