Irons look at “good taste” defender

Irons looking at Schurrs

Let`s face it, West Ham are in dire need of defensive reinforcements this summer after Kurt Zouma missed 12 games through injury last season, Nayef Aguerd missed 23 !, and now the apparently unsettled Thilo Kehrer has been linked to a move away from the club.

It now appears in order to remedy that situation, the Irons have been linked with the Torino centre-back Perr Schuurs ( great name for a fan chant by the way!)

This is on top of supposed interest in Chelsea`s Trevoh Chalobah and Leipzig`s Danilho Doekhi amongst others.

The Dutch centre-back is evidently a man of good taste as he has already turned down a £25 million  move to Liverpool earlier in the transfer window.

I am sure Tim Steidten will do his homework and will not sanction his signing unless he feels he is a good fit.

Schurrs has constantly received good press in Italy and is renowned for his accurate passing and reading of the game.

Our 2 best signings last season were both from abroad, Aguerd and Paqueta our two worst signings last season were from pl and championship Downes and Ings. Unless we sign top PL players and I include barnes in that there is no point signing average pl players like mctominnay, Hudson Odoi and challabah for crazy fees. Makes perfect business sense to go abroad to get value for money and to spend our money wisely.
