Irons lose again – here’s what the fans say

  • West Ham have been beaten for third time in eight days and here is what random Claret and Hugh had to say after the 0-1 defeat by Everton.

Moyes caricatured as captain of the Hammers Titanic

  • Did anyone notice we kept playing the ball out of defence. Aerola did not seem willing to kick the ball down the pitch, making it easier for Everton to block our moves.
  • Same comments after all defeats from Moyes. Definition of insanity. Board needs to act. He’s had umpteen chances. For pity’s sake, get rid.

  • Out of his depth in this league. The more possession we have the more ineffective Antonio is in games. We don’t seem able translate possession into goal attempts
  • He must be very close. The last three games have been appalling.
  • If Moyes doesn’t get the sack after the way we have played for pretty much two years in the league and this latest insult to the supporters then I am not sure when they will get rid of him.
  • We have signed quality players, have brilliant youth players that are leaving in their droves because there is no chance of representing the first team, if we are not careful we will lose these players over the next couple of seasons.
  • Get in a manager that can play multiple different ways such as a De Zerbi or a Frank or Alonso from Leverkusen anyone but Moyes, we have the nucleus of a great team and they are being sold short by a manager that is incapable of coaching teams to play possession, he has been a great servant and it is risky but in a season where there is a lot of relegation candidates it’s as safe a time as any to make that transition.
  • The pundits in the USA feed talked pregame about a great attacking midfield for us – Kudus on the left to run at the backs, Bowen on the right to do the same, and Paqueta in the middle to pull some strings. The formation was obvious to them – but DM plays Paqueta on the left and Kudus in the middle. What is it with DM playing players in the wrong positions? And when he subs Antonio he puts Paqueta up top instead of Bowen who has lauded as playing well in the middle! Yikes
  • Awful performance, looked like they hadn’t played together before. Big gaps in the middle of the pitch, only patched up when Soucek came on. Been a really disappointing week
