Jarrod Bowen maybe fit for visit to Sheffield United

Jarrod Bowen may be fit for the visit to Sheffield United at the weekend.

The would be a huge lift for the injury hit squad which is of course also without the Afcon involved players.

Jarrod was at one time thought to be missing for a month having been injured with a badly swollen ankle and was helped off the field by two physios, with initial fears he could face up to a month on the side lines.

The ankle was so bad he had to wait for a diagnostic scan but a few days on we learned he was set to miss just two games – tonight’s at Bristol City and the Premier League clash at Bramall Lane.

He is a huge miss having scored 14 times across all competitions and 11 in 19 matches in the Premier League but there are now new hopes he will make the match in Yorkshire..

We sit sixth in the table and a win against the lowly United would give the club another huge boost following their results over the festive period.

However following injuries to Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio, while Mohammed Kudus is away at the Africa Cup of Nations has seen hopes slipping of another European places finish. Bowen’s return could help to turn that around.
