Jarvis on road to recovery

|

jarvoSam Allardyce has confirmed Matt Jarvis is on the road to recovery after missing the start of the season with a thigh injury.

The manager said: “I would have though Matt will be with us to play some part after the international break.

“He may not be able to play in the Hull City game, but certainly if he gets fit during the break and we can perhaps put on a couple of small games on behind closed doors for him to catch up and get some match practice, then we will be able to decide on whether he can come back into the squad.”

Although the 28-year-old winger has failed to live up to his £10.75million price-tag since joining us from Wolves in 2012Allardyce has issued a hands-off warning.

After being linked with West Bromwich Albion earlier in the transfer window Allardyce insisted  “Matt Jarvis will not be leaving us.’
