|

west-ham-kouyate-cheikhou_3441511Cheik Koutyate’s red card has been rescinded.

A statement from the Football Association reads:

An Independent Regulatory Commission has today [Tuesday 5 April 2016] upheld a wrongful dismissal claim in relation to West Ham United’s Cheikhou Kouyate.

The player, who was dismissed for serious foul play during the game against Crystal Palace on Saturday [2 April 2016], will therefore not serve any suspension.

Great news,we need Kouyate for these next 3 matches big time.

  • ironswatch says:

ye we do need him and it is great news but did not help us sat

  • Dunlopilo says:

He was not at his best against Palace, but this is yet another disavowing a ref, and that must be painful to the establishment to have to do it. That said, when do they send these mediocre refs to lower divisions as caution or to refresher courses ?

  • bubs says:

    Justic i don’t think so,
Yes we have him for the next important games but the words the ref will serve the sentence instead and compensation will be awarded would seem the relevant words ,

  • TysonM says:

True but that’s been & gone. Now for the gooners.Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more, lol 🙂

Tyson, you old Shakespeare slag, you! I’m a bit of a tart for the bard myself…

  • Tiddy says:

Great news … Guiting as well because I believe with 11 men we would’ve won. Although we were guilty of some really poor defending which caused our downfall however ,The red card sent us into a mad frenzy….

  • Billy the Hammer says:

Steady on Ty,what’s with all this ‘unto the breach’ gig, have you been reading The Guardian, lol
    Excellent result getting it overturned!

  • mattefumi27 says:

Ok thanks, but we’re missing two points on the charts. What about that? **** the referee.

  • COYI247 says:

I’m surprised. I agreed with Mark Halsey: I didn’t think they would rescind this one, as basically, I thought it was dangerous – albeit 50:50. Not complaining though!…other than all the many cumulative sh1t decisions we’ve had. Questions about TV reviews must now be seriously asked. If those Sheff Utd ****heads can SUCCESSFULLY sue us (100% wrongfully in my opinion) to the tune of £35m, can’t we sue for damages too? No…blah blah, I know….Grrrrr

  • canchaz says:

Nothing changes the fact that this overload of ‘bad’ decisions have cost us dearly. Just three being called correctly would have put us firmly into CL football for next season.
Now, although we have some very winnable games to come our fate depends on beating Arsenal And MU in these final games

  • essexclarets says:

What a crock of ****e, it’s too bloody easy to overturn the red card, it doesn’t make up for loss of points that could have been avoided if we had 11 players on the pitch. It’s the football that should be the talking points of any game, not that the ref wants the headlines. Clattenburg thinks he is the big deal & our top official, bollox serve him with the 3 match ban & fine him the same amount Kouyate would have been given.
