Lanzini approach may change against Blades

Haller – crying out for more support

Manuel Pellegrini – having overlooked the opportunity of including Nathan Holland or Joe Powell from his squad this afternoon – is likely to stick by the team which started the disastrous match at Everton last weekend with maybe just a couple of exceptions.

Holland was inspirational in last night’s Under 23s win over Norwich but Pellegrini insists that he and Powell remain players for the future and also included Josh Cullen in that assessment.

Today’s team is likely to see Aaron Cresswell restored at left back unless Pellegrini decides Masuaku is a better attacking option for this game whilst Andriy Yarmolenko is presumably set to start rather than £25 million signing Pablo Fornals.

Pellegrini has commented that he wants to see Seb Haller more involved in penalty area action and presumably wants far more impact from his midfielders with Manu Lanzini changing his approach by getting  much closer to the club’s record signing and Felipe Anderson become more creative behind them.
