Lee out for two months

|

EleeLLIOT Lee has been ruled out for at least two months with the hamstring injury he suffered in his very first training session with Southend United.

The 19-year-old striker is on loan at the Shrimpers from West Ham United until late January.

He said: “It’s very unfortunate for all concerned that Elliot is going to be out for at least two months and we’re now trying to sort out what happens next.

“Hopefully we can come to a financial agreement to save us some money but we will have to also decide what happens with Elliot too.

“The paperwork has gone through so he’s our player for the next three months but a lot will depend on how he obviously recovers from the injury.”
