Lusitans v West Ham United: UEFA Europa League Qualifier

Elliot Lee has left West Ham after his contract expired but he has used social media to vent his frustration at never being given a real chance with the Hammers first team and said he would prove doubting fans who gave up on him wrong.

lee2Speaking on his personal twitter account last night “After 12/13 years at the club it’s time for me to move on to kickstart my career. It’s very frustrating leaving having never been given a real chance but that’s life. Sh*t happens!

I want to thank everyone at West Ham for the upbringing I’ve had. I’ve worked with some amazing people and made some lifelong friends and from playing in the under 8’s to scoring for the first team, it’s been a great journey.

I wish the club all the best in the future and want to thank those of you fans who continued to back and support me, And for those of you who gave up on me, I can’t wait to prove you wrong. See you at the top.”
