LIVE from the Olympic Stadium

|

OS11

BBC1 will be broadcasting LIVE from the former Olympic Stadium at 2.20pm this afternoon if you didn’t manage to get a sneak preview of the rebuilt stadium last night during the Sainsburys Anniversary games.

Please be open minded though if you watch the diamond league athletics coverage  on the TV this afternoon.

The views are much better in person with a naked eye as the TV cameras distort the real view. You feel a lot closer to the pitch than is shown.

The lower tier stands will move considerable more far forward than will be shown this weekend.  Distance from the front row to the pitch will be between 12 and 2o metres when retractable seating is fully extended.

Although many of the turnstiles have been branded Claret and Blue there is still much West Ham branding to be completed including claret seat based patterns, claret and blue lighting plus an amazing LED wrap around the outside of the Stadium.

It is still an amazing stadium as it  stands today and still has that Wow factor when you first walk in.
