The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) has called an emergency meeting this afternoon at 2.30pm (Friday) at the LLDC offices at 1 Stratford Place, Montfichet Road, London.

The authority are usually required to give a minimum five days notice to their board members but this meeting about the former Olympic stadium transformation works is deemed urgent due to special circumstances and says a decision on a confidential matter regarding the stadium transformation is now required at the earliest opportunity.

Although the meeting will be open to the public, the main body of the meeting concerning an update report on the stadium transformation works will be held in private.

The agenda confirms remaining stadium transformation works include ongoing works to relay the Desso pitch and the new Mondo running track. Other works taking place before Summer 2016 include:  Completion of the retractable seating works, completion of hospitality fit-out works, completion of concession area fit out works  and completion of catering fit-out.

The LLDC  have played down the significance of the emergency meeting by telling Claret and Hugh “There is no particular urgency for the meeting, the board need to be updated on the Stadium transformation given we are getting close to the end but due to the Mayoral election and being in purdah there wasn’t a scheduled meeting.”
