West Ham striker Callum Marshall is set to be integrated into Graham Potter’s first-team squad, according to a report from The Standard.
The young forward has looked sharp in pre-season, scoring twice for the Hammers following a productive loan spell at Huddersfield Town last season.
Now, The Standard is reporting that West Ham will not entertain loan offers for the Northern Ireland international.
It’s understood that Potter already planned to keep both Freddie Potts and George Earthy involved in his first-team squad for the upcoming campaign—and now it appears Marshall will join them.
Niclas Füllkrug is expected to lead the line for the Irons, but there’s certainly a place on the bench up for grabs. The 20-year-old Marshall has shown energy, sharpness, and confidence during West Ham’s warm-up matches, and he’s clearly benefitted from being part of the pre-season setup.
No doubt several Championship clubs would be queuing up to take him on loan, but with game time likely available at the London Stadium, this could very well be his breakthrough season.

fullkrug needs to be managed so we’ll still need a new striker, marshall can play a supporting role behind the new striker in 3rd place. When fullkrug needs rest or if he gets injured there will still be plenty of minutes for both new striker and marshall.
A year in the championship might have done Marshall good as it did with Potts, seeing also that Potts is a year older than Marshall, but if Potter thinks Marshall is good enough then he’s old enough and ready enough.
It’s good news for a change all 3 of them deserve their chance and so far they have shown that they are ready for a place in the main squad and hopefully a starting spot in the team we have so many talented youngsters and now we have a manager that is more than happy to give them the opportunity to prove just what they can do in that respect the future looks bright so long as Sullivan doesn’t muck everything up like he usually does
Marshall, Pott’s, Earthy and Preston Fearon all need to be integrated into the squad now. Forget the likes of Brownhill, Wilson, Ramsey and all the other has beens looking for a final lucrative payday. Hopefully, Potter knows the keeper he wants and a central midfielder or two. Paqueta, Summerville, Bowen will impose themselves and hopefully, who ever else is selected play’s to there best ability and we have a decent season for once. Still plenty of time for Mr Sullivan to throw a spanner in the work’s, as per usual but we can live in hope for the time being.
That’s how it should be. I wouldn’t be happy if anything different was to happen. Hope they all have a good season and show Sulivan the error of his ways.
Potts is almost 22 so definitely time for the first team squad, it’s time to sink or swim.
Earthy is almost 21 so a year younger, has been at Bristol City where he was their young player of the year, could have another year on loan or first team squad.
Marshall is coming up on 21 too, been at WBA and Huddersfield where he was their player of the season, I’d say first team squad.
Good news, the lad deserves a chance . We have some good younger players who deserve a chance ,Potts for sure , Claret & Blue running through his veins the type of attitude and work rate we need.Marshall might turn out to be deadly but still need midfield reinforcements. Someone who is quick , mobile and can help the attack . Onidikya however you spell it 😂 looks good guys!
