A group calling themselves Night Scape have released footage on youtube of themselves breaking into the London Stadium unchallenged, running on the pitch, sitting in the managers chair and scarily hanging from the roof in a dangerous stunt which could have seen one of the young men killed.
The short film raises a number of security concerns about the 57,000 capacity stadium with many supporters worried that it could have easily been terrorists breaching the security perimeter. In April this year, the same group illegally climbed the Orbit right next to the London Stadium, on that occasion they narrowly missed out on getting caught for three security guards.
This morning we have been told that stadium operators London Stadium 185 are conducting an urgent security review in response to the break in.
A major number of issues here.
Firstly, what do we pay the operators for if they can’t even lock a door properly? But the biggest concern is the security threat. UK at risk of terrorism and a couple of kids manage to gain full access to every part of the stadium. Absolutely disgraceful this has been allowed to happen and every fan has been put at risk because of the lack of security at the stadium.
Directors – sort the operator out for gods sake! We are the anchor tenants. Without us, it would be rotting away.
They might have done us a favour in the long run. That could have been terrorists, that is bad, where is the security, having tea n tiffin or what.At least they’ve highlighted a big problem and didn’t cause any damage.Still don’t condone it though. COYI
Nightscape lads. They climb all over the place. They have their own youtube channel.I have watched some of their clips before. They are like monkeys when it comes to climbing 😀
Except when it’s a derelict block of flats apparently.
Couldn’t they have hacked away with the pitch to save us from more trauma today.
This would explain why the word ham is not illuminated in the middle of the West Ham illuminated sign. These jokers must have unplugged it.
Excellent. Kids having fun doing something daring. Clearly they have great balance and are extremely fit. I’m sure a hell of a lot of us would of done similar stunts when we were kids. Heck I reckon I might of tried this myself on a quiet Friday evening this week. Could of been back in time for Mock the Week.No pun intended…
